Positioning the weight directly in line with your own centre of gravity, REP’s Open Trap Bar is designed for movements like deadlifts, squats and lunges, without placing excessive stress and strain on your lumbar spine. Its open-sided design lets you step in and out easily, and doesn’t limit your range of motion during lifts like other closed trap bars might. The Open Trap Bar features a built-in deadlift jack – tilting the bar up on to its feet creates just the right amount of ground clearance for easy loading and unloading of weight plates. Its feet are covered in a plastic lining, so you don’t need to worry about it damaging your floors when adding plates. The bar’s round tube frame makes it comfortable to use as a cambered bar for both pressing a squatting, with 6” of medium-light knurling for a secure grip during back squats. The bar can even be racked, sitting flush and secure on power racks thanks to the optimum distance between sleeve collars. The REP Open Trap Bar comes with your choice of handles. Standard Handles (25” handle to handle) will feel familiar – they’re standard for most trap bars on the market and are ideal for all lifters. The Standard Handles are fully knurled and manufactured from stainless-steel. Rotating Handles (24.6” handle to handle) provide three different diameter options for training grip strength – 28m, 38mm and 48mm. The Rotating Handles are made from steel with a hard-chrome finish.
