Improve your technique and recruit more stabilising muscles during squats with the Safety Squat Bar, REP’s top-of-the-line specialty barbell that distributes the weight to force you to stay upright. The Safety Squat Bar puts the weight in front of the body to enhance your balance, with beefy knurled handles out in front for a secure grip. These handles are removable too, for extra versatility, with more handle attachment options in development. The Safety Squat Bar has a firm and comfortable textured pad, made from high-density foam wrapped in vinyl for a finish that’s both durable and easy to clean. Thoughtfully designed, the distance between the cambers allows for the bar to be racked, even on wider 49” power racks. Hard chrome sleeves offer protection when sliding plates on and off the bar, and are compatible with 2” Olympic plates only. The bar itself is finished in a metallic black powder coat, resulting in a two-tone design that looks the part in both home and commercial gyms.
